I decided that my problem isn’t so much with PDFs, it’s with Adobe Acrobat Reader. That is a useless jerk of a program. All it does is view documents, and yet it slows most computers down to a crawl with it’s memory requirements. I don’t have that problem anymore as my Mac came with Preview, and that opens PDFs terrifically. However, most people aren’t using Macs. Anyway, after that unnecessary clarification, I’ve spent some time tonight converting my PDFs into plain text. I don’t think I’ve got them all, but I’m close.
Wait, I’ve only got one left. I guess I’ll finish.
I’ve really got to rearrange things in here. I hate the PDF format, so I’m going to get rid of it, (in here at least, worldwide erradication of PDF is a little too ambitious right now). Not right now, but soon. Hey, it’s 2:22 in whatever timezone I’m registered in!
I started a new/old project today because my chemical distributor district representative keeps leaving his business card at the office for me, (probably because I never get around to calling him). So, what to do with these extra business cards? Write on them of course.
I’ve made progress on the story I mentioned in the last post. But it’s still in two pieces, and I need some kind of puddy to stick them together.
I was laying in bed, desperately wanting to sleep but writing a story in my mind instead. Finally, I got up to get it out on paper so that it didn’t destroy me. The story itself could be my silver lining though, because I’ve been working on it for about a week now and I think it’s finally ready to be finished. I knew where I wanted it to go, but I couldn’t get it there. Following a rigorous editing process, </sarcasm>, it will make it up here for all my loyal readers </sarcasm, really this time>.
I posted the last tea wrapper that was missing. When I write more, I’ll be sure to keep the page current.
One new tea wrapper tonight. It’s one of my favorites, though it didn’t meet the guidelines I set for myself. I also made links to those stories on that page instead of just smashing all the scans of them together.
Also, I’m not sure why, but all my posts come up as published on Christmas Eve. If you want to send any messages back in time, let me know.
I can’t sleep, so I decided to post this. This is actually an old story that I transcribed out of a notebook a few months ago. Don’t act like John if you’re going somewhere foriegn on vacation. It’s more of a observation of behavior, not a recommendation. Train
2 new tea wrappers put on tonight. I’ve got a few more scanned, but they require more effort than I’m willing to expend at the moment.
